Jamaica Police Co-operative Credit Union Limited (JPCCU) was founded July 4th, 1955 by 11 rank and file members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, each contributing one (1) shilling (equivalent of ten cents today).

JPCCU was established with the specific mandate to encourage collective savings and provide loans to the members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. To date, the Credit Union’s raison d’être remains to help our Members elevate their financial status and achieve their goals through specialized products formulated with their financial needs in mind.

In an effort to create a more meaningful impact on the lives of our valued members, the Jamaica Police Co-operative Foundation was incorporated on November, 1, 2018. The foundation seeks to assist officers and their families in times of financial crisis or unforeseen hardships such as;

• Serious medical issues;
• To support projects and programmes to alleviate poverty;
• Provide assistance in health forums and the saving of lives;
• Engage in advancement of good corporate citizenship and community development;
  To assist in improving the socio-economic infrastructure in volatile communities through Community safety and security initiatives; and
• To support projects and programmes for the advancement of education
